It’s time for another edition of “Who is PDCflow?” This time we went behind the scenes to one of the employees that keeps our company running smoothly, though customers may never get a chance to meet him. Meet PDCflow System Administrator Jay Griffin.

  1. How has PDCflow helped you in your career development?

I started working at PDCflow when I was still pursuing my degree. Working at PDCflow has allowed me to improve and advance in my career by surrounding me with people that are invested in making not only me, but our company better. We are constantly looking at ways to improve the infrastructure and the people maintaining it.

  1. What has been your favorite experience at PDCflow?

Hard to pick just one experience. I guess I would have to say the annual rooftop party relay race. Not only is it some pretty wacky events, it is a great opportunity to spend some time with coworkers and build our team in a different way. The best part is trying to figure out how to get away with as much as possible without being called out for cheating.

      1. What is on your wish list for the future with PDCflow?

PDCflow has been such a great place to work. My hope is that I am able to continue my work here for a long time to come. Watching the continued improvement not only on the site, but in the way we work, has been a tremendous experience. I can’t wait to see what the future holds for us and our customers.

      1. What is your proudest moment at PDCflow?

Switching focus from infrastructure to DevOps. It has not been an easy transition for me, but the work that we have put in to further my career has been beyond valuable. My supervisor, Jeremy Knapp and co-worker, Justin Welch, have been instrumental in furthering my career in this area. They have worked with me to continue my development. It has made me a better person and cemented my loyalty to this company. PDCflow is such a great place to work because of the people that have been put together here.

      1.  What do you enjoy most about living along the Wasatch Front?

The recreational activities that are available to me. Living in this area has allowed me to pursue so many fun activities. Rock climbing, skiing, fishing, tubing, and so much more. I have lived here all my life and sometimes take for granted the beauty and convenience of this area.

      1. People would be surprised if they knew:

I am a huge BYU Cougar fan. I follow BYU sports and always root for the Cougars of BYU!
