Today’s installment of Who is PDCflow? is focused on a long-time PDCflow employee. Always quick with a joke, this software developer in R & D has been shaping and building our software offerings for years. Who is PDCflow? Meet Michael Goodell.
- How has PDCflow helped you in your career development?
Being involved with the research, adoption & implementation of technologies we utilize to build our products.
- What has been your favorite experience at PDCflow?
Being the “old guy” it’s difficult to choose just one experience. That said, I’d have to say working & learning with my colleagues has been my overall favorite experience.
- What is on your wish list for the next 2 years with PDCflow?
Continuing with our efforts to learn & adopt software development best practices and processes so we can in turn provide value and quality for our customers.
- What is your proudest moment at PDCflow?
When a customer happily told me they can no longer go get a cup of coffee when uploading a scoring file to us because the new scoring product processes records MUCH faster than the previous implementation ever did.
- What do you enjoy most about living along the Wasatch Front?
For the most part, it’s NOT the concrete jungle! That combined with the opportunity to be in the mountains fishing or hiking in less than ten minutes. Priceless!
- What hobbies or interests do you have outside of work?
Music, especially the Blues. I like studying the history of the Blues and Blues musicians. I’m also an amateur guitar player with an emphasis on the “amateur” part! Ask anyone who’s heard me play my guitars, they’ll attest to my “amateur” status.
